 NY is actually quite nice temperature wise, a moderate mixture of each and heck some people prefer the cold and snow like people prefer beaches and summer, Its great all around.

Agreed. I get the best of both worlds. I can ski, sled, play ice hockey on the lake, and all sorts of fun things.

Then, the other half the year I get to go water skiing, wakeboarding, fishing, swimming, boating, and other fun summer stuff. So we get 50/50.

Now, if you said the same about Canada, then I'd agree
