Calling heads or tails when flipping a coin and getting right is luck. Analyzing and predicting when for the first time this generation the 360 will beat out the Wii is skill. |
But his analysis wasn't correct. Among other things, the Wii rebounded from its supposed "massive year-over-year drop" to sell almost 28,000 units this week: about the same as it sold last year. Stick's prediction depended on this drop continuing, and it didn't. The 360 outsold the Wii anyway, but not the way he predicted that it would. Ergo, luck.
Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.
