I'll pass because I have been disappointed by most Square-Enix games in the last years. Since Dragon Quest VIII (which wasn't a disappointment) had tons of random encounters, I assume DQ IV won't be any different and currently I can't be bothered to play an RPG where I spend the majority of playtime in battles.

Most JRPGs these days are more about story than battles(Atleast from what I came tell)

This is a faithful remake of a game almost 20 years old, so I can't see how this applies here...

16 years old :)

18

However the remake contains a prologue and a chapter that weren't in the original one.

There is also a quest to populate an grow your own village that use the DS WiFi capabilities.

It was released in 1992. I didn't know there was an extra chapter in the remake this is great!

In North America yes however I usually take the first inception in any market as "birth" of a game.

Yeah also what is great about the remake is that the interface was redrawn.

Now I'm at the beginning of the 4th chapter after having collect tons of money in the previous chapter
