| disolitude said: sorry bud, apperently its console + pc at the same time. The vids and demos shown at game conferences were off the xbox 360 actually. FEAR is one of my favourite games as well and luckily I trust Monolith enough to deliver a great experience no matter what system it is developed for. I don't see how they could screw it up by doing it for consoles at the same time. Unlike Unreal, Fear isn't a multiplayer only experience therefore it should be fine no matter what it is developed for. |
While true, they can make mechanics and other stuff that help out our mouse challenged bretheren that are acually a detriment to the people playing it with a mouse. Like guns for example, granted we won't have a previous point of reference for guns like we did in UT, but maybe they had to cut corners and make some guns work differently because of consoles. In UT the biggest hit were the fact that so many weapons got changed either entirely or something small that ruined the feel to them from previous ones. I've just seen a good amount of console mechanics on the PC and not a single one of them was actually good or better than the established mechanics.
Another thing that is bothering me is the health regeneration system. While I see their point that it is easier to make encounters when you know a person will have 100 life at the start and won't have 10 kits as well, on the other is that I can just run back a few rooms and poof, I have 100 again. I also hate multiplayer games with this mechanic but thank god this isn't one.
