No one said it's dead. However, for the last several months, Sony fanboys have been spouting that the 360 is dead. This proves that it is clearly not, as this is from a month BEFORE the price cut, with two games that were relative bombs with regard to sales.

There is a reason for that. When at 299 you cannot manage to outsell a console that is selling at a 399, and 499 price point- that has to say something.  For the PS3 to pull in numbers like this at 399, says a lot.  Imagine if the PS3 was at 299, I think it would pull in 300k+ numbers.

Do I have to break out the value argument again?  In the eyes of the consumer, both are the right price for what they offer.  Your argument is only valid if they had the same features at such vastly different prices.

And that doesn't even matter how it happens, anyway.  The fact is, Microsoft has proven that they are in this for the long haul and that they are far from being wiped out like 'certain people' predicted.

and LOL at 'Leo-J being one of the most level-headed' when he predicted the Wii would only get to about 34 million this year, and then simply 'removed' that part of his signature when he was proven horribly wrong.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
