The 360 will likely see increased sales in Japan after the week, but like you said, the chances of any real momentum are slim. And yes, the 360 has surpassed the Xbox, and it achieved that quite a while ago. But Microsoft had to spend so much money doing it, and I seriously doubt they're making money on each 360 hardware sold in Japan (especially when there has just been ANOTHER price drop). As for hopes and dreams, none of them will come true this generation unless you're Nintendo (or you set your standards fairly low). Onimusha: Was it really necessary to quote such a huge conversation just to add your sarcastic little quip? The PSP is successful in Japan, which makes sense since it's a handheld. I wasn't even pointing out the PSP's success so much as the fact that at least Sony still has one viable console in Japan, whereas Microsoft has none. Or you could ignore that and look towards the battle between the PS3 and 360, but it's barely significant enough to matter.

I don't know about that.. I would like to point out the following things that where deemed impossible
- GTA exclusive DLC on the 360
- FFXIII port for the 360
- Star Ocean 4 Exclusive to the 360
- 360 outselling the PS3 in Japan (twice!)
- 360 selling out in Japan
- Japanese developer support
Anyways, like I said, this generation is full of surprises, and I can't wait to see what 2009 brings!
