Seth MacFarlane and funny never belong together. Matt and Trey had it right in their brilliant take down of Seth's inane crap when they showed family guy being created by porpuses picking random world balls to make jokes. He is a hack pure and simple, like the guys who make the _____ movie movies (disaster movie, epic movie ect). Even in this mario thing he repeats the same joke over and over (the most annoying aspect of family guy). I had a roommate who used to watch that show and its so bad that over just that issue I decided to move out.
Family guy is South Park for people without fully working brains. There's a reason the creators of the Simpsons, King of the Hill and South Park (all vastly superior shows) all hate Family Guy. It's the absolute lowest common denominator of humor. Even Beavis and Butthead, often derided for being mindless, was infinitely more clever and funny then Family Guy (and the Beavis and Butthead movie was even given 4 stars by a lot of top critics for that very reason, the family guy movies, not so much). There is a long tradition of funny often insightful cartoon humor, a tradition Seth is nowhere near.
There's only one show on TV worse then Family Guy, American Dad.
