Something else *everyone* seemed to miss but was stated in the Sony financial statement:

The way that Sony tracks sales will only change from next quarter. The figures for the current quarter still use the old accounting method. So we haven't even seen the changes yet.

 

No, it starts from Q1 2007 (April, May and June). The following thread should clear things up, and brings up some new information on PS3 production, shipments and forecasts too:
