It's a main game, and only the third game from the, imo, premier developer at Namco, Team Symphonia, which made Tales of Symphonia and Tales of the Abyss before their most recent outing, Vesperia. It's also considered by many to be the best Tales game yet, including Gamespot and Famitsu, both of whom said as much in their reviews.
