It'll be a different game, for certain. "Better", than its HD brethren, might be asking too much.

 

It was built from the ground up by Krome, they had 3 teams to make all the versions that they were in charge of, their main focus was on the Wii version, then there was a team for the PS2 version, and the last team was put on the handheld versions.  So yes it was built from the ground up for the Wii.
