No split screen cause that would require the Wii to work double time on the graphics (to produce 2 different views for players) and they've stated how that would not work at the moment cause they haven't been able to squeeze that kind of juice out of the Wii, the only way to do it would mean to significantly bring down the graphics but it could end up in Conduit 2.

Ignorance maybe? It has been confirmed there is split screen play. At least this site, plus various others, have the same quote about it as recently as last week.

http://www.n4g.com/News-192712.aspx

I posted this earlier. I got this reference from another thread on this web site...

Uhm they've said no in many of the IGN interviews and questions, IGN IS the site to go to for The Conduit info, they're friends with the Nintendo team there, they released the first info on the game on IGN and N4G has never been very reliable, especially when coming to Wii info...

Did you click on the site? It is a direct quote from one of the games designers. And it has been on just about every website known to man. I just did a quick search on this site and saw that link. Ignoring this when trying to make statements about the game is ignorant. Especially when you are trying to say LAN is confirmed when in actuality, the most mentioned about LAN is that "they are working on it" with Nintendo. Even LAN has not been confirmed yet.

They took that from IGN and then took it out of context... it never said SPLITSCREEN they've been asked MULTIPLE times on the subject and said that the offline multiplayer would be LAN, they've had LAN up and running since they started on online mode cause it was their testing medium and now they're looking to Nintendo to see if it's ok to keep that in the game.  And NO the LAN option isn't confirmed but it's already up and running, and there's no real reason for Nintendo to say no.  So don't call me ignorant when you don't even know where the original quote came from =P IGN IS the source for almost all info on The Conduit.  So before you go and jump on someone actually know what you're showing people.
