Even cops aren't that prickly. They give you (most of the time, anyway) a 5 mph leeway. What makes the roads much more dangerous at 46 mpg rather than 45?
Laws are meant for the good of the people. Ticketing people at 1 mph over the speed limit is NOT good for the people; it only minutely increases safety at the cost of drawing great public ire.
Same thing with this sig rule. It's meant for the good of the forums where we're not loading a thread that's 80% sigs 20% discussion. But if someone's over by just the slightest bit, like maybe by the height of a line of text or two, is it really that important to report him?
Sure it helps a little. In the meantime, you've wasted a mod's time and made someone's vgchartz experience a little less convenient. And in the case of blazin89, deprived the community of a great, GREAT sig.
I think it's only worth it to report people who are blatantly and obviously breaking the rule. If you're, for example, scrolling down through everything and it's still obvious as fuck, then sure, go for it. But if you have to squint and get all close to the screen, come on now, that's just being a busybody.
