I'll hang on a bit till they give 'em away for free, or perhaps even pay me to take one. Despite cutting prices every couple of months 360 sales are mediocre and increasingly being outsold by all other consoles. As they say, a rushed (flawed?) product always eventually gets its cumuppance.

I agree with slimeattack, PS3 will overtake 360 next year.

I think you are confusing Xbox 360 with PS3.  It's the PS3 that have the price cut every other months last year.

This is the 2nd price cut 360 have since launch.  First one was $50.00 and this one is another $50.00 (well $80.00 for the arcade because MS want to get to that $199.99 mark.

I just find it funny that eveyone was saying how MS is slow to cut price but when they do all Sony fanbot such as you saying that MS is desperate.

They are selling way above what PS3 was selling last year.  The only thing change this year is PS3 is finally doing better and start doing 360 number (which it should by now).

Well, PS3 only had one price cut last October. The 'price cut' in July was to get rid of the 60GB PS3s in order to make room for the new 80GB PS3s, and if you're going to count that as a price cut then don't forget that the Xbox360 had the same exact situation last month with the price cut on the 20GB Xbox360s.

On topic, I think the price cut will have a short-term effect but because of holiday boost sales will stay high until the end of the year. I don't expect Xbox360 sales to be much higher than last year, but there's a very good chance that it may do better than it did last Christmas.
