What utter hypocritical bullshit I have read in this thread. Is Zack and Wiki a flop because it sold under 1M copies? No it is not. It has sold enough copies to earn the developers profit, therefore it is a (moderate) success. Why does LBP need to sell 2M to become a success? This is just Sony haters trying to set the game up, so they can call it a flop.
Media Molecule is a very small team of ex-lionhead developers and some of their friends. This is not a huge budget PS3 game like GTA4, MGS4 etc. I would even say that LBP development costs, is below average development costs for a PS3 title.
Flop: Under 500K
Moderate Success: 501-800K
Big Success: 801K - 2M
Huge Success: 2M+
