It's not gonna be a megaflop...it may end up being mediocre...but a lot of PS3 owners will still pick it up, cause it's dragons killing stuff! Which makes up for some of the score...

Also, ckmlb, in case you didn't see whoever else posted it...there were definitely ground missions in the last Rogue Squadron game...and they sucked, majorly. Which is why I've doubted Factor 5 and Lair since day one...

I think there is a little bit of a difference between the Star Wars game and Lair. I only rented that game because I didn't care much for it (though I enjoyed the first two games of the Rogue Squadron series). I didn't get far in the ground combat of the Star Wars game and I don't know if being on the ground in Lair is really required, but since you're on the dragon, Lair is more of a 'mow down everything' and I see that as very different from the Star Wars game. When it comes to ground combat, I'm more (and always have been) worried about the ground soldiers you fight against because they didn't look too interactive with the dragon. In the videos, they seemed to be more like bowling pins rather than any kind of threat and to me, that looked kind of boring.

Hopefully there will be some calibration options for the Sixaxis to make it more comfortable, but it shouldn't be impossible to get the hang of. I don't remember which site's preview said it, but they said it takes a while to get used to it, but it's much better once you have.

I wasn't expecting a 10 from the game, but I'm expecting it to be similar to the Rogue Squadron games with large levels that should look good with tons of stuff everywhere and except for the cheesy Star Wars voice acting, the Rogue Squadron games (in my experience, the first two of the series), they were fun.

There wasn't much strategy in the ground missions in Rogue Squadron III either...  it was basically run and gun your way to the end.  Similar to "mowing things down" when you need to in Lair.

I assume Lair will have you flying around, completing objectives, and sometimes your objective will be to kill some guys down on the ground...

I don't like how when you kill the soldiers, they're just standing there, and it kicks into slow motion every other kill.  It'd get tiring for me...

But again, I'll hold judgement til more reviews come.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
