First day sales in Japan (7/26)

Wow, interesting numbers.

HSG around expectations - but MP8 a little low (still unknown). Should sell strongly throughout the week - estimate 250k for the week, HSG 150k-180k. HSG still over my "line in the sand", so all is good.

PS3 hardware disapointment. Pretty big/important point in this generation. Still - software matters too, and as long as HSG sells well - things are ok.

But still... "This is not the news PS3 fans are looking for" (said in Obi-wan accent).

@ckmlb - 10k for Dewy day#1 is ok. I never pinged it as a "huge" title - 20-25k for first week is more than reasonable (no idea what the shipment is either).

Possibly the best news for 360 (and doesn't it need some good news around now - a big seller in Japan would be a nice tonic!).

And finally... good news for Gundam on the Wii. Didn't seem to be a huge title, yet 60k for opening week = pretty good.

EDIT - oops.. thought it was 10k for Dewy - not 1k! Konami still fails to show any Ninty love... :(
