About Wii sales in Japan

Its you who missed the point .At least in my country the Wii isnt supply costrained anymore ,and I highly doubt Nintendo is manufacturing and shipping half the consoles as one month before .The consoles cant be sent anywhere in the world ,they are region locked and specifically for the NTSC or PAL markets and have their special cables ,packages etc .You may think the demand hasnt slacked off anything anywhere but when I go to the stores and see piles of Wii and nobody exactly fighting over those for purchasing my eyes simply deny what you say.It would be useful to have some japanese readers here to say if the console is sold out everywhere in Japan ,but I can tell you as sure as 2+2=4 that it isnt here.The reasoning about Nintendo sending the machines here could be plausible if it wasnt simply because it is techinically impossible (region locked ,different TV standards ,electicity issues ,packaging ),and Nintendo holding the machines at warehouses for Paper Mario ,a game until 2 months ago of the Game Cube recently passed to the Wii ,altough not entirely impossible seems more wishful thinking to justify the drop of console sales (in all the three territories ) than anything .Hype had to die down a bit and console sales fall something one day ,and by all purposes thats exactly whats happening now .

I´m sorry but... 1) the consoles are all manufactured at the same time and when Nintendo decides to ship more Wii to europe or to the US than you can see the result about one or two weeks later. It isn´t impossible to improve the shipments for one continent - look at the DS: it was sold out in January and mysterously the Japan hardware numbers decreased while the DS sold an awesome 500k in the US. I don´t know if the Wii is still sold out in Japan but your point is incorrect. 2) The numbers per day in the US were up since january, february was (for the NPD group) just 10 days shorter than january. So again: I don´t know if Wii is still sold out in Japan. I just don´t think your arguments are correct.
