@obieslut: Haha. Hundred every now and then isn't much about anything. When you have your own kids, you'll see the big picture about how much the kids cost you.

It actually doesn't make difference which sex the kid is. Kids at that age do, and are interested in, the same things no matter which one is it. It's only the parents who push the "girls stuff and boys stuff". Basically you could get her the PSP, but the problem is, that she doesn't want one, she wants the DS (overall Sony caters pretty badly for that age group). Differences between sexes are practically non-existant before teen age (without outside pressure).

Marketing to kids isn't exactly expanding the audience, it's called maintaining the core audience.
