lol, no. A bridge title is a game that is made with the intention of pleasing core and casual gamers alike, and also has the hopeful result of drawing casuals into a more consist and deeper level of videogame playing. In essence, it allows the twain to meet, as it were.
I'm not sure who coined the phrase "bridge title" but I assure you it was not me, though I wish I could take the credit. It is a common phrase uttered on these forums and the most common example is Mario Kart Wii.
As for your other assertions, Arstechnica didn't write this article. A human did. I wouldn't trust a man that didn't steal a little. ;)
