Oh please, stop exaggerating. Grandia III has a somewhat similar scene near Arcriff Temple and it looks quite nice. Ad that's PS2.

 

I thought it looked more impressive than what I've seen in ES.

(off topic: Is Grandia 3 any good? Considering getting it.)
