I hear you, and this game's definitely had one of the weirdest development cycles I've ever seen (over a year late, never previewed, pulled less than a month before its Japanese release, still no official word, etc. etc.). And yet the game comes from a great developer, and its early development apparently helped to push Nintendo over the edge and purchase Monolith. I think part of why the game's not been getting that much pimpage is two-fold: they're currently emphasizing bridge games (and this one doesn't seem to be one) and, as damkira said, Nintendo doesn't seem to believe it'll be the Next Big Thing. In the end, I'm in the "cautiously optimistic" mindset, but there's plenty of "caution" there.

I'm not even sure I can scrounge up the optimism anymore. Even Battalion Wars 2 got screenshots. This has gone far beyond just not publicizing the game. This is a concerted effort, since they must get asked about it regularly. At this point I'm thinking it's either not coming out, or it'll get a very small shipment and mediocre reviews, with Nintendo hoping this one will just slip off the shelves and out of our memories.
I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!
