I bought my N64, GC, gameboys, DS, etc all with my own money...some money was just saved up from gifts and such, but most of it I got from working one way or another...starting from when I was at least 10.
I also aced grade school and junior high, never got any money for it hehe. I understand if that's the way you were raised, but perhaps it's time to grow up a little and work...you'll be surprised how quickly money comes.
Also, since we're talking about the DS...my dog chewed up 4 of my 12 DS games last night...ARGHGH!!
After misplacing Mario Kart and then EBA recently, my two favorite games...now my dog chewed up Cooking Mama, Mario and Luigi, Diddy Kong Racing, and Animal Crossing. Pissed me off, although I beat the first 3 games and never play them anymore...I'm mad about Animal Crossing, I haven't even had it for a month and didn't play it much...
