Did you skip the Metroid Prime series because it was First-Person?

Youve never even seen Metroid in Third-Person so it can possibly be better. I dont develop games so I cant answer that but I know its possible and Id like to see it in Third-Person.

 

i think metroid in 3rd person would have huge camera problems.

 

 

I don't, but it'd still be stupid. The biggest trouble with the camera would be aiming at enemies all around you; above, behind, left, right, but it works just fine in Zelda games. Puzzles wouldn't be to hard. Jumping/platforming wouldn't be difficult. I think it'd be easy, just no where near as good as first person

If it works for zelda why cant it work with Metroid?

Well they can just change it up a bit for third person. If metroid went third person you shouldnt expect a Prime like experience to begin with.

 

'Cause in zelda you have a sword and a shield and that's what you mainly use, in Metroid you have a gun and everything else is killed using only your gun. Doesn't Zelda go into first person when you use items like the bow, grapple, or even the boomerang?

 

Also as a side note. I don't know what FPS games you have been playing to hate them so much but the category is one of the most developed and mature categories out there. Right up there with RPGs and Turn-based/RTSes.
