@AnarchyWest, I actually have some movies that require flipping a dvd over, (das boots my favorite one), never bothered me. imersion in a game wont be broken if its a good game. dvds are not a true detriment, the detriment, is not having a hard drive on every unit, so games can use it as a resource.
also did disk swapping destroy ffvii for you or any of the other games you have had to swap disks.... there is a limit, but we arent near it (i remember swapping 5.25 floppies every 10 minutes back in the 80s for a few games)
FFvII is a good example of how well disk swapping can work, and it was done very early in the ps1 life, that system could have used dvds they were avalible then but it did not make sence economicaly
