NOT IT!
In all honesty, it sounds like a good idea. I was actually thinking about something similar to the 'price based review', but my model was a little simpler. Just go with a review like normal, and end with "I'd buy this game if it cost X dollars american (or whatever) I think it works better because you don't have to take into account when the review is read. Like, what happens if they release a game for the 360 that costs the full 60$, and you review it and give it a -30$ because it wasn't that great but still pretty fun, and then a year later somebody sees it in the used section of the game store for 25$, doesn't know about it, finds your review and thinks "-30? Man, this game sucks" and doesn't buy it.
Plus, the original system penalizes games like Rockband which sell for ridiculous amounts. Example: I don't think rockband is worth the full 180$ (or however much it costs) but think it might be worth 100$. Does that make it worse than a game for the 360 that is so bad that I would not take it no matter how much it costs. (-60$ compared to the -80$ for the rock band pack?)
Wii has more 20 million sellers than PS3 has 5 million sellers.
