Almost all of the games that the major sites showed in their post E3 2008 most anticipated games for the remainder of 2008 are 360 and PS3 titles. The only Wii games that appear on a few of the lists are Animal Crossing; however, one can only hope that what Nintendo showed at E3 wasn't really the best parts of the game as it didn't even seem to match up to the Gamecube version; The Blob, and Little King Story. With the wealth of AAA titles coming to the PS3 and 360 this holiday season plus games like Metal Gear Solid 4 and GTA IV that many people are still going to have on their holiday wish lists, it can be expected that during the 2008 holiday season, Wii sales levels will fall to Gamecube levels.

And it is already starting.  Looking at this week's sales chart for America, I notice that at $299 with NCAA Football '09, the 360 comes within less than 3,000 units of topping.  At $199.99 with Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Left 4 Dead, Dead Space, Banjo Kazooie, Viva Pinata 2, Too Human, and Tales of Vesperia, the 360 dominates.

If we're using games that will have been out for nearly a year already by holiday-time, I'll see your MGS and GTA, raising you Brawl, Mario Kart, and Wii Fit .

And the Wii has a much bigger lineup than those you mentioned, but I won't list it again.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
