What is normal? Before MGS4, because that is what is going to be like if not worse. All you have to do is look at Japan and see that it is back to normal pre MGS4 hardware levels.
Sorry but the 40GBs are extremly limited and many, many places have not seen shipments for quite some time. When Amazon runs out you know you have a problem. What is more is the big box retail ran out well before that for many areas.
80GBs are limited as well although shipments coming every 1 to 2 weeks. However only so many people are willing to buy a $500 console. If people are only willing to spend $400 and the only thing you see is the $500 SKU every now and again your going to pass it over like it wasn't even there.
On top of that you have people waiting for the new 80GBs since Sony announced to the world you can get more for your money if you wait 2 months.
If anything signs could point to even lower sales then you might think.
