Microsoft: Has success with the hardcore so far. Will up the horsepower significantly and will make sure the hardware is more reliable. Futhermore will be very much focussed on digital downloads/netflix etc. Probably some sort of motion controls, but normal controller is the main one.

Sony: Depends on the next 2 years of PS3. If profitability is not achieved they are forced to focus on profitable hardware, meaning the next step will be much smaller than from PS2-PS3 and more focussed on home-entertainment. Of course Blu-Ray will be an important feature as well as full BC to PS2 and PS3. Most importantly Sony will launch it with the big 1st party games. If the PS3 does make a profit in the coming years I expect Sony to make a very strong console again.

Nintendo: Has success and probably won't lose the newfound market very quickly. Will put all the technology in that's possible for a $230 price, so they can sell it at $250 again. Will be HD and has a hardrive. VC/WiiWare to be available from launch. Difference with Sony and MS will be much smaller this time, plus will have heavy 3rd party support from the go. Of course morion controls will be improved.

they can just skip the next generation ,, is it possible ? :)
