I just want to point out that unless you don't save games you can't just spend $300 on a 360. Also, if you want to do anything online (like, I dunno, patch games, DLC, demos, etc) you'll need the $180 120GB HD (or the "cheap" 20GB HD at $100). Also, the PS3 has great games now as well. That argument is outdated. |
*FACT - you can still play games. Buy a $20 memory card and save your games. It's still a lot cheaper than spending $600 on an overhyped, undercooked machine that can find a cure for cancer, but for the life of it can't find out how to boost sales unless you have a $100 price cut.
Check this ... the PS3 has been out since ... November, 2006. How many games have hit the million mark? Just Resistance. Nice ... and check out the Wii, which came out the same time the B$3 came out ...

Wow ... 3.69 million PS3s sold ... and only 1 game has cracked the mark. Look at the Wii ... and the 360. Yes, you may not have a hard drive, or Blu Ray, or built-in HDMI or wifi, but you do have the ability to play a lot of cool games and not waste time playing 'Calling all cars' or running the GT demo into a coma ...
As far as the 360 Core, you have a choice - add an HD and stuff or not. But it's your choice. Sony has made that choice for gamers. That's sad - but regardless, you have a choice - and it starts at $299, not $499.
