 Depends what you mean by "recently upgraded."

A lot of console gamers apparently have a misconception that your PC needs to cost $1000+ to play new games well.
I'm building an $800 PC this summer, and it will be able to play Gears just fine, and Crysis will look fine, but it won't have DX10 for me just yet.
