Also, last time I looked, Tecmo was a separate company. It might be publishing the game in the west, which would explain why the NOA people have not heard of it. (Mario and Sonic had different publishers in different regions, so this can happen.)

Thanks for posting the rest. I'd read it already, but I still don't quite understand what it means. Does this just means Nintendo's marketing department doesn't know about the game, or does the ignorance stretch to the folks who'll be doing the localization?

And while Tecmo might be doing the localization, I doubt it. From what I understand, Nintendo bankrolled the title: it's unlikely they'll let someone else reap the rewards for it. By contrast, I believe Mario & Sonic was jointly funded, and it was understood that Sega would handle the publishing outside of Japan. But I could be wrong about all of this (it's been a while since I read those things).

I'm just hoping no one told marketing about this yet, since it's not coming out for a few months.
