I never said the games were selling poor, stop twisting my words. I merely said the attach ratios are not that great geared toward full-price games.

There are, as stated, PLENTY of GREAT examples of strong-selling Wii games such as Zelda TP, SPM and MP8. Those are obvious succuesses, as well as Rayman and Red Steel.

But my whole issue is, again, that since the launch, the tier ratios haven't improved much in the US, nor Japan. Again, low attach rates due to low consumer demand can be very bad in the end, but I'm not saying "oh the Wii will always have this kind of ratio", because it's obvious it'll increase.

However, the Wii attach ratios need to start improving. Even adding Wii Sports/Play in, which we can always argue about, the attach ratios in the US are mediocre, and not improving, and are rather bad in Japan, and not improving yet (but that should change in the near future).

What I mean is this:

Dragon Quest Swords sells 1,000,000 units in Japan. Great succuess for DQS, right? Very much so. However, on average, due to the attach ratios, it means that DQS had great succuess, whereas about 5 other games did not, and that can be an issue.

Again, all one has to do is look at Japanese sales charts week in and week out and see what sales have typically done: the attach ratio every week that software isn't coming out that's major (like DQS), is around 1.3 software units per console. This isn't good, when again, 50% or more of those sales are Wii Sports/Play, leaving only an average of 0.7 (or around 50,000 units of software) to be split between 30 other Wii titles.

And thats why people that only have Wii Sports/Wii play becomes a huge non-issue with tier ratios, as they are only 2 games, and not the 50 others out there for the Wii.

Look at it this way: If Microsoft, or Square Enix decide to sell Halo 3, or Final Fantasy XIII at $34.99 USD, and sold tens of millions of copies, but comparible games sold.........250,000 copies of comparible games, would that be considered very good, and strong for the software library of the system?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
