Yeah, it's a bit of an awkward situation. They've liked each other for a long time, but they knew that being together would cause the apocalypse of their world. After a while they couldn't take it anymore and professed their love to each other, and sure enough, the end of their world came right after that. That's why there aren't any new "episodes" from their world. It's gone.
