Sony's first party PSP offerings are better than Nintendo's first party DS offering (my opinion of course, but I'd rather not play Pokemon or ports of N64 games).

The only ports of N64 games are Super Mario 64 DS and Ridge Racer DS. After the exclusion of the Pokemon games that still leaves more than 20 first party titles (excluding all the Training games as well).

Diddy Kong Racing or Mario Kart much?

Don't get me wrong, there are some good ones out there like the New Super Mario Brothers, Nintendogs (they are good games, but not for most people on this site), Advance Wars, or Elite Beat Agents, but I still find Sony's first party stuff to be better.

I forgot about Diddy Kong Racing, but Mario Kart DS is a new game.

Anyway, I was just correcting you since you made it sound like the majority of DS first party games were Pokemon titles or ports of N64 games which isn't even remotely true.

No its not ... just because they add a couple of remade tracks or port a couple of GC tracks its not a new game . I unfortunatly had the game , I bought the hype , just to play instead trough NSMB for the 3rd time ...

Why is the PSP better than the DS you ask ? Well first of all it has a different library IMO . It has much more M rated games and most of its games are full 3D , often some games ( like Syphon Filter ) even beating their PS2 versions in the graphics department . Also , if you are looking for epic , cinematic experience on the go the PSP is really the only way to go . Games like God of War or Crisis Core will blow away every single idea you had about handheld games something the DS wont do .

Thye PSP is also pretty cheap at this poin , and for the 170$ your paying for it you will also get a machine that can store photos , music , videos , game demos , navogate the internet , usijg skype etc. For the low price it has and the boom it bundles , you just cant go wrong with it ;)
