Pssh, another anti-Nintendo post...you obviously broke your DS on purpose to give Nintendo bad press!!1
Anyway, there must be a way to get your DS shipped to Nintendo, repaired, and brought back...do you have any American friends you could ship it to, and have them do the repair process, then ship it back to you? The problem sounds like something Nintendo would fix for no charge...so all you'd probably have to pay is shipping...
