While it won't catch the PS2, I actually think the PS3 is doing better than anyone really gives it credit for.

I'm no historian, I only came to the sales-counting game when I found Vgchartz last year, so feel free to correct me. Surely, though, no console has ever sold so well at such a high price!? In Australia, the PS3 is still a massive $700 (about $600US) and ticking along just beautifully. It has a lot of price cuts (and, presumably, sales boosts) still in its future. Plus, it seems to me that since developers can't really afford the price of utilising its full power yet, it has time very much on its side. I would be surprised if it doesn't sell at least 80 million in the final analysis. If you think I'm wrong, tell me why.
