Nintendo took the idea from Morpheus. Nintendo also took the Wii idea from Xavix Port. Analog from Vectrex. Nintendo much like Apple will often take existing ideas and just make them better..tho Nintendo has legit invented the D-pad and shoulder buttons.

Which were then taken and made better by other companies. The circle of life^^

Genesis & Saturn still have the best D-pad ever.

According to wikipedia, Nintendo did not invent the dpad.

They did. Gunpei did for Game & Watch. They hel a patent that no one could copy it so every D-pad out there functioned differently until 2005 that expired so now anyone can make a similar D-pad.

The XE-1AP from 1989 would like a word about the shoulder buttons

Lol. There's always something.

If you look hard enough I wouldn't be surprised if you can find something even older. That's why I'm always careful with statements like that, because I've found there's always some obscure Atari peripheral that already did something.

That is why it is silly to debate who invented something. The discussion is more on who implemented better or had success first with it. But we know that this discussion was more to prove Sony is a copycat company and Nintendo is the inovator.

I can't imagine living in a country where everything you can be excited about was stolen from a idea/product that recently laughed.

The Apollo lake chips are laughable to say the least.

Never heard of it. Is it a low power thing?

I'm pretty sure Nintendo was sued over the switch designs. I don't see them suing over the design they were sued over.

Apollo lake N4200... meh.

It's a newer manufacturing process however it doesn't hold a candle to the Tegra X1 in terms of ability and power. The Apollo Lake chipsets are the last breath of the failed Atom line.  They are designed for entry level devices like economy laptops, and tablets. Their whole selling point is low power consumption and that's it.
