Yikes! Just saw this on neogaf:

"There are/have been no retail releases for Vita in between LEGO Batman 2 (June 19) and Madden (August 28). Literally none in two months and nine days."

July and August for Vita are going to be harsh.
I have always said... Gravity Rush as a launch title and Uncharted as a savior game in the harsh times.

US is definitely still driven by hardware sales. The PS2 era January - June peak was completely driven by PS2's best year. The one exception is 2005, which was driven by PSP, DS, and GBA all selling reasonably well in the first half of the year. Then in 2008, Wii and DS were doing enormous numbers. Now that we're in 2012, the hardware market is trending to be about 18-20m for the whole year instead of around 35m.

Not sure if 3DS is sad or the DS excellent.

I'm pretty sure it's up 8%. It's at least in the positive. (Still not as nice of sales like the Japanese have it.)
