Can't you make one positive thread regarding the word SONY and the acronymn PS in it?

They will get 2-3 games (or less) with their consoles, then generally be happy enough with said hardware. Look for the software increases related to these hardware sales to happen in Q1/Q2 next year onwards (likely late Q1 at the earliest).

I already covered that, I said that software would peak early next year and fall yoy towards the end.

360 2008: 48,978,109
360 2009: 47,300,962
3.4% decrease

It's pretty obvious the economy has played a role in the tepid software sales this year.  I'll check hardware increases in a second.

Wii: 48.95% increase in HW base over the last year.

360: 39.2% increase

I don't know if the add-ons can pick up the software sales again. It looks like people will just lose interest in software with time, and purchase of new games is getting rare with time.

There is many big games coming in 2010, so we could see a up numbers than, but, in 2011 and 2012 the decrease in software will pretty noticeable. PSP already reached it stagnation point, it just don't sell software anymore duo to high piracy rates and developers are slowly abandoning it, the only region it still selling software is Japan.

The add-ons may be a cheap way to make gen last longer, but they won't do any miracle(could hurt wii sales a lot,though).

I bet that PSP2 will be showed at E2010.
