Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wii's 2010 line-up going to crush every prior year!

Mario Galaxy 2, Sin & Punishment 2, and Metroid: Other M for sure ... Zelda possibly. I think Kirby Wii will finally happen next year. Mario Party 9 as well probably (for those who care). Wii Health w/Vitality Sensor.

Pikmin 3 I dunno about because I believe a big chunk of the Pikmin team was working on NSMB Wii so they probably had to put that game on hold to get NSMB Wii out for this holiday.

That Dynamic Slash (retitled now) game looks pretty cool too, hopefully that gets brought over to the West.

Span Smasher, Line Attack Heroes, Cosmic Walker, etc. are also possibilities. I'd really love to see any one of F-Zero or Star Fox or Wave Race (NST? Hello?) next year.

New Retro IP might be able to make it, depends on how far along they are I suppose.

Monster Hunter Tri, Red Steel 2, NMH2, Epic Mickey, Tales of Graces ... should ensure big 3rd party release every quarter more or less.

Metroid The other M... It was already good enough that Metroid got back on 3rd person view, but adding Team Ninja on this was really genius...

BTW, now we can expect Samus with Dead or Alive physics XD XD XD

And I thought this thread is about the Wii Line-Up for 2010. Not only the Big Nintendo games.

We receive big titles in US and Europe: Monster Hunter 3, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Sin&Punishment 2, Endless Ocean 2, Red Steel 2, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams, Arc Rise Fantasia, Rune Factory: Frontier, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Final Fantasy: The Crystal Bearers, Epic Mickey, Monado-Beginning of a New World, Dynamic Slash, Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid Other M, The Sky Crawlers, The Grinder. Perhaps Tales of Graces, Dragon Quest X ... etc. etc.

Yes there are Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid Other M for 2010 from Nintendo. But perhaps some other unannounced games too.

@ z101
And how many games of your list do you think are realistically big?

2010's Wii line up is stellar to the point of overdoing it. 2009 is was good but not when compared to other years. Great time to be a gamer and own a Wii. All Nintendo needs to do now is release the new Zelda (2011) and F-Zero and Starfox and the Wii would be the most complete console next to the NES and SNES.

Zelda won't come in 2010, it will debut with videos and such, but won't launch.

However, there will be SMG2, MetroidM, and Pikmin I'm sure. Along with a half dozen other smaller IPs like Sin and Punishment 2.

2010 will be a big year, definitely better than 2009 with other 3rd party gems in the west like Monster Hunter Tri, etc.

3rd party games on Wii for 2010:
No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars
Red Steel 2
Monster Hunter Tri
Epic Mickey
The Grinder
Arc Rise Fantasia
Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
Next year should be a fantastic year for Wii owners. :)

I did not add Tales of Graces b/c it has not been officially annouced yet coming to NA.

As others have said in this thread, the 3rd party Wii situation will remedy itself come next year. All of the previously listed third-party games coming out, plus some "big" third party games like Epic Mickey.

But I urge people not to forget that Retro is working on something, Sakurai is working on something, Factor 5 (the not bankrupt part) was/is working on something, and Bethesda (not the racing game) is working on something. 2010 will have plenty of well-regarded core games.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

If the only game released for Wii in 2010 was Super Mario Galaxy 2 it would still be the best lineup EVAR!
