All that will happen is the Secret Service will invsetigate him.  If they believe he's going to comit an act against the presidents life they'll arrest him... if they don't... they won't do anything... unless someone else attempts something against Obama... and then they'll have to prove that the guy was motivated by this guy.

At least i'm pretty sure that's how it works.

There is definitely a law that doesn't allow you to say that you are going to take the president's life.  That is one instance where American's don't have freedom of speech.  I guess you could say that what this guy said wasn't a direct threat though so it could be open for interpretation.

There is a law where you can't say you are going to take the presidents life... but to convict someone you need to prove intent and that they really meant to threaten the Presidents life....

Which is practically impossible to prove unless they're actually planning something, or an act takes place. (And even in the second it's hard to prove.)

The secret service investigates something like 1,500 threats against the president a year.  Almost none of them receive any punishment for said threats.

Any halfway decent lawyer can claim hyperbole or something similar. 

Along the lines of "She borrowed my sweater without asking.  I'm going to kill her!'

@Kasz. Inciting violence is a different matter though. Saying 'If we let the president live, America dies' could definitely be argued as inciting violence.

You could at least watch the video before commenting.

Read up guys. It is the Commonwealth portrayed as an Amazon standing over the defeated Tyrant and proclaiming Libertas and Preseverando (on the reverse). Sic Semper Tyrannis is thus ever to tyrants (dictators basically) and that is not @ Obama but I feel in the mood b/c VA's elections are tomorrow....

Typical extremist overreaction, the guy has been president less than a year, he hasn't even passed health care reform and they already think America is doomed.

Then you have the great congresswoman Virginia Foxx (yes two xxs) who said health care reform is a bigger threat to America than terrorism.

These are the same people who said if Kerry (and Obama) get elected, we would have more terrorist attacks on the US. So I guess they forgot about that since health care reform can hurt the poor little insurance companies. I mean they are just barely making a living by cutting people's health or denying coverage for ridiculous reasons.

People have used Christianity as an excuse to kill people many times in history: Crusades, WW2, Lebanon, Bosnia, Kosovo and so on...
