Amazon has never been a true reflecter of what is going on on the High Street anyway so why bother reporting an increase in Sales Rank which means very very little to anyone because it isnt actual sales.

I think they consider it newsworthy because the analysts, somehow, came to the conclusion that the sales would be down leading up to the launch of 40GB model and that the new SKU is the system's great, white hope.

Amazon.com rankings mean nothing at all. Amazon is but one very small piece in the huge retail pie.

Trolls, people who go into threads labeled "Reasons to buy", start flaming the OP and giving reasons to not buy... but that's just an example. Another would be, say... going into a thread named "Check out the screens on __ game" and posting screens from another game trying to argue that they look better.

Just some examples of trolling.
