I feel the same way.....MS really didn't deliver this year(well so far) the only games I bought this year were SO4(only to see it go to the PS3) Mass Effect(I know I'm late) and Sonic Unleashed(got it for free)
I'm not big on halo so OSDT and Halo war were out of the picture(though I DL Halo Combat evolved)

to me the year was for the PS3! exclusives alone: like Killzone 2, InFamous, Demon Souls, Uncharted 2, Rachet & clank made people heads turn! and the new $299 PS3 couldn't hurt.

the 2010 looks good for the 360, though the only must get for me is ME2

it's funny that the first half of the gen the sony fans were getting claims of no games to play (even though there were, but point taken), and now we are in the second half and it's the xbox fans getting those claims (even though there are).

i think it's all about how the libraries stack up to each other, and i think this and next year see a bit of a gap.

Give it some time, Microsoft might have some games up it's sleeve next year. I don't think they would have another disappointing year again.

My 360 right now gets some playing time with MagnaCarta II, and a few firefight games here and there. It will get a lot of my attention when Forza 3 releases. But I've been mostly playing my PS3 these days.

I have to agree, somewhat. I was a little disappointed in ODST, but I did enjoy the game(just way too short). I find myself playing games from last year, like Gears 2(great game, just need to work on the lag a little). I wasn't even going to buy modern warfare 2, because originally Bioshock 2 was supposed to come out the week before. Very sad. But........... the more I see of the games that were pushed to 2010 I get excited. Mass Effect 2 looks great, and Bioshock 2 is shaping up to be good too( unfortunately I don't think it has a chance in hell to be as good as the first, but it would be nice if it was close).

And then there is Natal........................will it be good? Will it be another gimmick? Only time will tell. I hope it is great and that Microsoft will put the time, effort, (and yes) money into it like they do their big blockbuster titles. I hope so. God, I don't think any of us need any more shovelware gimmicky crap to level out our tables with.

Sooooooo, keep your chin up. There is good stuff(possibly great stuff) coming. Just be patient. And yes, I would get a PS3 also. I don't play mine much, but I have had a lot of fun playing it when I do.

i think you would be dissapointed if you play only shooters and action games since you can finish them in like 2 days or somethin. i have 20 360 games and since june(when i got 360) i finished 9 of them and i had a lot of time to spend on my 360. yet, i still will play those games to max them out someday.
there's plenty of great games for everyone. games like Dragon Age, Demon Soul's, Magna Carta 2 or Borderlands will give you weeks or even months of fun so i don't get people who say there's nothing to play - you can only say that if you rent games, play them for few hours and that's it.
seriously, my first playthrough in morrowind took me like 6 months, Test Drive Unlimited took me 2 months before i finished it and picked up PGR3(i play 2-3 different games at a time so i don't get bored and finish the games i have) and i don't even play online.

Demon Soul is a PS3 exclusive for now....PS3 got this, and we got Ninja Blade...lol!  Given the cost to produce these games, and as cited by several japanese developers as to how they use M$'s seed money...unless this game ships a million, they would have to port it to the 360 to breakeven.
