There is no way PS3 can beat 360 in the USA this generation, and soon we can probably say the same for UK. Worldwide is still a tough fight, could go either way, but I think 360 will win.

 

Even if PS3 does pull ahead, it will almost certainly be in 2011 or later. If you had said that when PS3 launched in 2006, nobody would have believed you.

Japan alone will make it down to 5 million.  

Natal is unproven, Halo has been milked to death and everyone will have price cuts. 

Once GT5 drops UK will swing towards the PS3, with mainland Europe becoming very anti 360 like Spain is right now.

Theres no chance 360 will win, NA can't out do the world.

So much for the 400% boost, it only affected america, and the xbox still failed to outsell PS3, nice try tho m$, got any more ideas??

A price cut and slim model in both UK and US next year with Natal launch and Halo Reach and sales will explode.  There really is no haste for Microsoft, it's not like sales are bad for them.

The $99 offer proves that not even a price cut will stop PS3. In my opinion the 360 hardware is starting to look very out of date with an ugly design, no blu-ray, no wi-fi, ridiculous fan noise, poor reliability reputation etc. Asking people to pay for online on top of this is increasingly undesirable.

Agree with Halo being flogged to death. The PS3 was ahead of its time when it was released - the next few years are very much when it comes into its own.

yeah maybe xbox 360 sales will explode when natal comes who knows, sometimes i fell that sony is not putting enough hype on the ps wand, they really need to start doing this, especially if they want to minimise the blow of natal

The option is definately there if they choose to go that route, there is more empty spaces on a Jasper board than actual components they've stripped so much off.  Temps are also down massively when in use too.

lol, so now theres an imaginary 360 slim coming out? alot of bad reactions from 360 fans cause the ps3 is selling alot better these days! lol, its that time for the ps3, have you all forgotten when the 360 was kicking the ps3's ass all over the place? there was no reaction from the sony side, all quiet. ps3 had its fair share of bad times, the entire 2007 year was extremly shitty and then the shitty holiday 2008 it had cause people were choosing the 360 cause of the big price cut. i think some of us need to just give some credit where its due and just say " ps3 is doing well" instead of bashing it and saying it wont last. especially since alot of you are the same people that said the slim wouldnt even boost sales much and yet it hasnt even gone below 245k since! all consoles are doing well 

sony must have busted their balls to make the slim and price cut possible and they are getting what they deserve. they should now be busting their balls even more to cut prices again when the time is right.
