Forums - Nintendo Discussion - More Nintendo Wii Bashing From CNET

"Listen, we all know the Wii is selling well, but that doesn't mean people are actually playing the console," he writes.

"Sorry to say, graphics still matter, and because it is lacking, some walk into a room, play with it for an hour, tell everyone how fun it is, and go back to their PS3 to marvel at the look of a game," Reisinger theorizes.

But "if people decide to buy it because it looks nice at a friend's house and proceed to play it until they get bored with it, where are the opportunities for third-party developers to make money?"

Swear I've heard this somewhere before.

Either way, never post news from a person saying something insulting about the Wii. Especially something as stupid as this. It's just not a good idea.

Sounds about right, if wii's owners don't buy games the developers wont make them ? whats wrong with that thinking ?

And its asinine to think either graphics or game play does not matter, we are creatures that love interacting with lets say a ball no more or less then we can love the visuals of a nice sunset.

Wha?  Yes the article is silly for many reasons but there is nothing wrong with posting insulting info if the info is actually correct.  If it's not, I'd expect people to point it out as such.  Much like I'd expect people to call out wrong info on the PS3 and 360.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

Wii owners have been buying games... lots of games... that's why the article is silly.

I'm pretty sure there's already a thread with these exact quotes covered already (with similar Hus alt trolling to back it up), regardless, it's still pretty asinine from CNET.

I agree, they STILL matter. Like the times of the PS2, that people played it for an hour, then they got back to their Gamecubes, Xboxes and PCs, and they never bought ANY game... Oh, wait!

I love the article.

Why? Because it's like drone audio trying to convince non-descript consumers who have no clue about anything that something false is true.

Software sells a console. So, Halo 3 sells XBox360. It seems undeniably hypocritical to think that Nintendo doesn't have software to sell their console (Wii Sports, Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros., Mario Kart, need I go on, really?).

That in itself just wreaks a poorly written article with way to much bias to even raise an eyebrow other than to state that:

--------
Don Reisinger is an official idiot who can not write an article.
--------

Numbers: Checker Players > Halo Players

Checkers Age and replayability > Halo Age and replayability

Therefore, Checkers > Halo

So, Checkers is a better game than Halo.

Already discussed in this thread. This should be locked for redundancy.

This writer is gonna have a heart attack once Wii proves graphics DON'T matter. The graphics were fine last generation. Get to the gameplay, suckas.

Nobody's having PS3 parties with ma and grandma.

Opportunities for 3rd parties? The vast vast VAST marketshare Nintendo has and will have. Where there's money to be made the opportunity will be taken.
