NVidia's response to ATI

Lol, good luck making an x2 with that die size.

I don't think you'll be hearing your case asking you if that card was in yet. . .

I do not accept pics of Nvidia cards in this thread.

That card is also a non-functioning mockup, which compared to a released on-sale, arse kicking 5870 just doesn't compare. nVidia only recently got back their first trial silicon back from TMSC, they are no where near release. By the time this card comes out it'll be probably be competing with 5890X2, and with how complicated the GT300 die and 384 bit memory bus will be, any GT300 X2 (whatever it'll be called) would be some extremely expensive dual card monstrosity which would get its arse handed to it in price/performance.

You mean you have GTX 260's in SLI, as in two cards? That's certainly enuff for now lol.

Exactly. No more than 7% difference. Maybe less.

It depends upon which version of the GTX260 being used. The Core 216 shows improved performance over the original GTX260s, but still less than the GTX275, which is essentially half of a GTX295, only in some cases a pair of SLI 275s actually run faster.

So upgrading from a pair of Core 216s makes even less sense.

Either way (old or Core 216), there's pretty much no point in upgrading from a pair of GTX260s to a single GTX295; not for what you'd be paying, even factoring in selling both GTX260s.

If performance was really the issue, assuming you're running multiple monitors or a 30" monitor, you'd be better off buying a pair of HD5870s, even with the current price premium they go for ($380 each street price).

That card is fake. It has wood screws, the cooling vents and power connectors are covered and the card is crudely truncated.

Also the date and number on the card confirm Charlie's earlier leaks on when it taped out and the fact there are only nine working parts from the first batch.

@NNN2004

You won't see much benefit over GTX260 SLI, stick with them. Though it will consume a lot less power and be quieter at idle and load.
