Forums - Sports Discussion - The Official Pro Wrestling Thread

After the initial success of the "Everything WWE Thread", it was decided for that one to come to an end, and a slightly less specific thread to begin! Here, we will once again discuss all things concerning pro-wrestling, from matches of the past, to ones in the current. Including companies like:

WWE

TNA

WCW

ROH

ECW

and several others. So without further adieu, lets get it started again!

Yeah, brother, the Hulkster approves of this thread. All the Hulkamaniacs out there should pray, take their vitamins, and post in this thread. Whatcha gonna do when Hulk Hogan and the Hulkamaniacs run wild on this thread?

For some reason, I clicked this link expecting it to be about Pro Wrestling on the NES.

Know your role and shut your mouth.

I think Vince Mcmahon need to hire some good writers that are going to make some good storylines. The reason why they can't create new stars is because the new supserstars have a lack of a push. Not to mention wrestlers like Triple H, HBK, Kane, Undertaker, And John Cena who have more than overstayed their welcome in this business. I think they should concentrate on imporving the mic skills of the new superstars so they could have better promos and also improve the dead women's division. Here's a list of stuff they need to do:

1) Focus on all the new superstars. Try to help them improve their in ring skills, their mic skills and their entrances.
2) Use less and less of the old superstars so the fans could concentrate on the new superstars. This gives the new superstars a chance to build a fanbase
3) Promote new superstars rivalries the most
4) Make important storylines, not childish stuff
5) Once the new superstars establish a good fanbase, get rid of the old superstars. Sort of like a passing of the torch
6) Rebuild the tag team division
7) rebuild the women's division by puttin them in more serious storylines. ( less bra and panties matches and more intense matches) I would really like to see the women wrestling in a steel cage match for the title
All these elements will equal to a great era that was as popular as the attitude era.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

I had a dream Triple H died!!!!

Numbers 6 and 7 are the only valid suggestions.

1) The WWE knows very well how to promote and build talent. Sometimes they rush people into it(Batista and Cena), and sometimes it is people who are truly horrible who get the push(Batista and Cena).

2) Yes, that's intelligent. All of the time and money you have spent building up superstars should be thrown out the window just to use the new "superstars". Who cares if they are not ready to carry to show, cut a good promo, etc. Let's just use all new "superstars" for the pure hell of it.

3) See #2.

4) The day wrestling loses it's "cheez" factor is the day I truly stop caring about it(I'm pretty close as it is). There is room for drama and comedy in wrestling and that's how it should be.

5) That's not passing the torch, it's slapping people in the face for all of their hard work and all of the money they made your company. Besides the fact that many fans tune in just for older superstars, every wrestler is a person and deserves some level of decent treatment. I find it odd that you think the wrestling business, particularly the WWE, is not ruthless enough as it is.
