Because they actually care about making games.
Nintendo is THE company out there who tries NEW things. Over the years, they never stopped to innovate and enhance our experience as gamers. Think about all the risks they have taken. The Wii and the DS were not garanteed to succeed on the market and many accessories such as the Wiimote, Wii Balance Board and Wii speak were flooded by bad comments even before the release.
They have made some bad moves, like the Virtual Boy, but it is bound to happen when you always try new things to push foward the video game industry.
because they always make games fun and not just for money like the other computer and tvs companies that just entered for money
Nintendo is the best because mario can easily win the heart and mind of a child therefore when that child has grown up the child continues to buy their products kinda like mcdonalds but unlike mcdonads Nintendo is not a health hazard,

By me:
Their ability to pioneer genres, and the fact that more of their franchises tend to lead their respective genres then any other company. Equally, they almost always take clear efforts to breathe life into their games, which is oddly contradictory to their general de-emphasis on story.

I respect them for what they were doing in the early years, but IMO Nintendo went slightly downhill every year after the end of the 4th gen
