Oh c'mon Bioshock is a walk in the park. I didn't even think about it being scary until I saw some comments on the internet....

Well its scarier than REsident Evil 5 and Alone in the dark. It is a psychological experience...

It got me a couple times. It is definitely a very very good game though.

In the beginning it is very intense and creepy, however, as the game progresses you get used to the environment. Awesome game, once I beat it I traded it in......and I really wish I would have kept it.

I rented it, but am gona buy it when it drops to 20 dollars.

It is scary, but it is not unbearably scary. You will be genuinely scared at a few certain points. The game excels at conveying a feeling of dread. Something unspeakably bad happened on this ship, and you arrived for the worst of it. 

I would call it startling. If crap jumping out at you will make you jump they you'll jump a good bit. I never really thought of it as scary. It's fun though.

Anyway, I like the game alot. I give it a 9/10. Amazing graphics, strong gameplay, and great production values. It's a AAA game from a 3rd party that is a new IP, based on MF'n RE4. How can that game not rock?

...and don't listen to the Condemned 1 praises here. That game has some of the most basic controls I've ever seen in a shooter/whatever the hell it is. Boring and repetive as hell. It had great atmosphere, but I feel the original F.E.A.R. was superior in every way. It's already dated as hell, as well.

Yeah it has some moments. I recommend you play it in the dark.
