And when that happens, developers will completely drop support for the 360 and develop exclusively for the PS3, right? Nothing at all would change when the PS3 overtakes it so I don't see why some people care so much.

Sony can't catch to the 360 and the 360 can't catch up to the Wii. Unless aliens come and buy up 10 million + PS3 consoles there's nothing Sony can do to get out of last place.

The only way the PS3 will outsell the 360 is if Microsoft are accused of secretly developing WMDs. Maybe they are with Natal.
